About Me

My photo
Introducing one-self is not easy, its like giving an open book exam. You have all the resources available with you in exam but you prefer to write what you remember rather than wasting time in searching. Similarly while you introduce your self, you see what other's introductions are having & just copy and paste their hobby as your Hobby, their interest as your interest. You never see whats there inside you. I never find easy to articulate my self so here I am....expressing my self to the world, to see myself from inside.... The first step is to give my formal introduction.... My self Nikhilesh(aka nicky) also supposed to be an electronics engineer. Have done M.TECH. in Optical Communication from IIT DELHI. I was in TU/Eindhoven (The Nehterlands) for one year as a research scholar. Currently I am working as a SW QA Engg in Infinera Bangalore. My views are generally optimistic. While doing any work, the last thing I would do is to loose hope. People say I am innocent but I know the depth of innocency. I like to be with myself but I am not agoraphobiac, instead I love to travel. I am charged by observing different people and their cultures.

Why to complicate life???

When the difficult time comes
When life doesn't show you the path
When there is struggle in life
But if you can smile and walk then why to frown...
Why to complicate life???

When some misunderstanding happens,
When relationship becomes sour,
But if you can talk and sort out then why to remain silent and be disturbed....
Why to complicate life ??

When you don't see the future,
When things are not clear and everything is dark
But worrying will not give you what you want, then why to worry ?
Why to complicate life??

Life is not to be lazy, Life is not to procrastinate.
Life is to live lively, Life is to celebrate, Life is to enjoy.
Life is to care, Life is to being true to your self.

Life is the reflection of our own mind

All that we are is result of what we have thought!!!
-- Buddha

The events in our life reflects what our mind perceives.
How much we may try to make up....but the expressions reflects what thoughts received.
Its all reflection of our own mind.

The tendencies to blame every things around, The person, the time or the situation but our own mind.
Once we take attention from outer world to inner world, the conflict between the two resolve.
This science is one of its kind.
Its all reflection of our own mind.

We talk a lot, but fail to communicate.
We all become philosophers, we preach, we give lectures for long hours.
But never know what our own mind wants.
It's all reflection of our own mind.

The days passes, the nights passes, the time passes.
But the mind is stuck on one thought.
It's all the reflection of our own mind.

Let's come out of this whirlpool.
Let the mind play its drama.
Observe the thoughts, observe the mind and it's tricks.
Never bother about the feelings, Live the life on the commitment.
Let us resolve, not to entangle in the mystery of the mind.

The Change Is Inevitable

Plato once said, "The only thing is life which is constant is the change"

Many times in life, I want to be the same, why to bother, why to change the patterns which have rooted very deeply in our mind but other times I wish that I could change everything around me in a moment. The change is an endless phenomena which never ends weather we want it or not, it happens.
The change brings transformation sometimes in positive ways and some times in negative ways. We should have the skill to accept both the outcomes.

At subtle level, the mood and feelings changes with time. We get frustrated because of this change. Just being aware of the change is enough to reduce the repercussion of the change.
In life, the time changes. Good time comes, bad time comes, we just need to go through it either with suffering or with acceptance.
People changes, their mind changes, their perception changes. Even the loved ones may start hating you and the enemies may start loving you.
Our own mind changes with the time.
Our level of understanding changes, we become more mature with the experience and with the time.

The wise ones accept these inevitable changes and make their own mind free of all the juggleries because the most important thing is to save our own mind at any cost.

The weekend escape to Western Ghats

The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.

- St. Augustine

It is a famous quote by St. Augustine. I personally would like to read the whole book again and again. There is no better experience than to travel and that too with strangers. It was a long weekend since Monday was Independence Day. All of my friends were having some or the other plans and I could not stay in Bangalore being aloof watching movies, sleeping and eating. Through meetups, I found BAT (Bangalore AdvenTurers) planning for 3 days trip to Coorg, Mangalore and Western Ghats. Without giving any next thought, I just registered for it. Had nice 3 days experience of the trip.

Day 1:
The day started dot on time. We left Bangalore at 4 in the morning. It was bit early but for a trip we could do any sacrifice. We were 12 Escapers in 3 Cars. Our first stop was Kodur for the Breakfast. We had long drive through the zig zag paths of Western Ghats. Going with strangers is always a fun. It makes your vision broad and you get to share cultures. Next we stopped at ApsaraKonda falls in the search of Apsaras. Unfortunately we didn’t find any Apsaras there. Taking bath in small but forceful waterfall was real fun. Now its evening time and there is no other better place to spend sun set time then beach. We went to ECO beach in Honnavar. It was a lovely spot with perfectly clean water and dazzling sunlight which was supposed to be party beach but it turned out to be a meditation beach. I did short but peaceful meditation there. The night we stayed in Honnavar.

Day 2:
Next day early morning we left for Murudeshwar. The view of gigantic Shiva with Arabian Sea in the background was mesmerizing. The noon we spent at Turtle bay beach. It was a scenic route alongside the beaches. In between there were many points where we couldn't resist to stop our Cars. We entered into the sea on the Turtle bay beach and had lunch there in Turtle bay resort. The sea water was quite rough due to Mansoon. Pebbas Ice-cream parlor in Mangalore was our next stop. If you are going to Mangalore then it's a must go place. It started raining heavily. In between we stopped for very old and famous Chai. It was very different Chai with 3 layers. Night we stayed in Puttur.

Day 3:
Day 3 was very much experiential and amazing. We went through the Western Ghats. It was totally zig zag path and in between there were many small water falls. We went to Madikere in Coorg. It’s nice place for shopping of spices, dry fruits etc. we did some shopping there. Next we stopped at Malalli falls and it made our trip bit adventurous. The way was such that our Cars could not go on the top and it was raining like anything so we need to go by Jeep. The whole group was scattered and we were all drenched. But the view of the fall was amazing. Finally our trip ended but the memory will remain forever :)
Thanks BAT for organizing the trip.

Don't give any meaning to the dreams

In my dreams, I see some angels, in white robes with ever-lasting smile and magnificent aura.
In my dreams, all around I see colorful birds chirping, crystal water flowing, mammoth mountains echoing with full energy and enthusiasm.
I see the scenery not as a seer but as a part of it. I belong to the whole universe in my dream, infect I am the Universe in my dreams.
My mere imagination doesn't ends here, I am also part of the dream flying in the sky.
I have wings same like angels.
As if, I left the intellect on the ground and just enjoying the fresh air like never did before. At this moment, not thinking about the past or future but totally into the moment.
The small times seems to be an epoch in my dream. It seems I moved ahead of time. The big mind merges with the small mind in my dream.
I crossed all the seven layers of existence (body, breath, mind, memory, intellect, self, ego) in my dreams.

And when the eyes opens, the reality dawns as a new sunrise. From the sky, I am back to the planet earth, trying to give some meaning to my dream. Some one has said, "A foolish person see dream as reality whereas a wise person see reality as a dream". So its better not to find any meaning behind those dreams, but come again and again into the present moment. The mind will play many tricks to take your consciousness back to past and future, but with practice you learn to bring it again and again to the present moment.

Stay happy, stay blessed....Keep smiling

Nature does warn you

If you want to tell stories to your grand children, then start travelling --- Anonymous traveler

Generally, I prefer to write some experiences of my life which are worth remembering but today's trip with friends, although I would like to forget but penning it down as a memory of adventurous experience.
When something comes out of desperation then the outcome would be favorable or not, that is not guaranteed. When nature gives you warnings then stop going against nature's decision else it may be harmful or of no use for you. You just need to decode the language of nature.
That is what we missed in our one day trip to Ramgarh of Sholey movie. After a long-long discussions, our first trip was planned for Bhimeshwari but the place changed in a dramatic way because some forest activity came up in Bhimeshwari.
Is this the sign of nature and we would have cancelled going to Ramgarh for this vague reason? ohh wait...there is more fun.
On the day of trip, People are late because they lost keys. The road, full of unusual traffic was making nature's warning more clear. And finally the nature executed what it wanted to. Our car broke down on the way. To make the story short, we lost 5-6 hrs and spent the entire time in the Car which we would have been spending by doing some fun activities at the outing spot.
So the learning is that the nature does give you many warnings. Now it's up to your capabilities to decode those signs and take a call.

Some Incredible Moments of Life

Some people take life as a burden, some take as opportunity. Situations are same, events are same but some enjoy others frown.
In essence, life is not a burden. There are ample moments in life that you can cherish.

The company of righteous people makes the life more liveable and enjoyable

The moment when knowledge dawns in you, confidence reflects from your mere presence..That is the moment when you feel more liberated of your small mind

Either favorable time or hard time in life, but if you don't loose your awareness..That is the moment when you are totally in the present moment and enjoy the life at fullest

When you are able to keep a full stop on the modulations of your mind, can maintain undying smile despite all the problems...That is the moment when you become inspiration for others to live the life

When you can accept yourself as well as others despite having lots of weaknesses and conflicts, when you can see beyond the person/object/situation...That is the moment you start living life hassle free

The moment when you get an attitude of being always ready for service, you start living a useful and purposeful life
Learn to show dynamism at outer layer but be very dispassionate at your inner core. Become like a lotus flower, which is born in mud, remains in mud but mud can never touch it.

Be happy, keep serving with undying smile and become an instrument of love

The fear of getting the right match

When we pass the teenage and goes into the stage of adulthood, we become physically and mentally ready for marriage. But one fear about getting the right prospect for marriage start bothering.
In India, we mainly follow concept of arranged marriage. Family play a big role in introducing the boy and the girl. First the family meet and then both the prospects meet for quite a short duration and in that short duration they decide that weather they are ready to live whole life with other person or not. If yes, then they fall in love instantly else they may postpone or deny it. It may seem very odd process for some culture but that is how the things are here.
In India, marriage is not only the unification of two person rather its unification of two families. Two family becomes one big family. So they decide, weather they want to be together or not.
Still we have so many requirement for our prospects. It is said that marriages happens in heaven. So some one is made for you in the heaven and we meet that person on the earth and merry them.
But the main problem is to recognize that person. The problem is not that we don't find anyone, the problem is we find many such and get confused on whom to choose.
Who will be more suitable. Some may match with your Kundali. Some may match with your nature. Some understand your feelings, some keeps you in your comfort zone. Some are traditional, some are typical, some are conservative, some are more open, some are easy to believe on, some are hard to refuse, some rocks, some sucks. And we look for the perfect match. made in heaven type of match.

But if we really want to choose the best. We can close our eyes and choose any one of them. I tell you the real secret of relationship. A boy and a girl in a relationship are like two parallel lines. They should not be like two lines pointing towards each other. Means the focus of one person should not be towards other person always because pointing line matches at one time and then again separates out. whereas the parallel lines always go together and meets at infinity. So if both girl and boy have a common goal for society, for themselves or anything. This common goal motivates them, keeps them busy and they keep the love alive and fresh always. Love blossoms, flourishes and give fragrence to others.

The fear dies when love blossoms

Oh, Come on....
What fear do you have, its all in your mind.

The fear of what people think of you, what they say if you do this and that.
Oh, Come on....They have the same fear

The fear of people make fun of you, people would laugh on your silly questions.
Oh, Come on....At least, you will be a reason to make them laugh.

The fear of some mistakes, some wrong deeds which can affect your future/relationships.
Oh, Come on....mistakes never happens intentionally. If it happens then learn from it and forget it.

Just put all your fears in one basket and surrender to divine. The fear is nothing but lack of love, When love flourishes, there is no fear. When you go from darkness to the light, the love flourishes and fear diminishes in life.

Lets put the mind on 2nd place

After studying and then working for so many years, these technical mind always entangles into the technicality of the object.
When its in nature, instead enjoying the beauty, it tries to count the trees, it looks for different species. When its in social gathering, it involves in some rubbish discussion or search another such pair, which can do technical bla bla to keep the mind busy....Lets keep aside these so called technical part of the body and start enjoying things by heart.
When the mind enjoys a sunny day, it sees it as hot temperature, but the same is seen as a warmth by the heart. when the mind is in relationship, you ask for love but when heart is in relationship, you become instrument of love. So let the heart lead the way and keep mind on second place.

How do I see my life?

When I look back, I see my life as a flowing river. Like a river flows in one direction, which ever path it gets, it flows. My life is also the same. Flowing with its own pace, in one direction. This flowing thing is life energy: my prana.

When I look back, I see my life as a steady mountain, strong and firm. Like a mountain is very solid and stable similarly something in me is very stable and not changing. Something in me is unshaken. This unshaken thing is faith.

When I look back, I see my life as a calm and peaceful lake. The water in the lake is very peaceful. It has very serene environment around the lake similarly my life is very peaceful and serene. The outer attachments does not affect me. I am untouched by them.

When I look back, I see my life as a vast sky. The vastness of the sky shelters everything - rivers, trees, mountains, deserts everything. Similarly my life shelters many relations. It has many responsibilities and wears different coats at different times.

But in reality, life is above these all. It is neither river nor mountain nor lake nor sky. It is all energy which is pervading in different forms at different times. Life has a different taste and flavors at different times. We should only know how to channelize these energy in the right direction and than you see that the life becomes like a blossoming lotus and an instrument of love :)

Memorable time in BA

Back to India...but this time not for vacation but with some vision. Last one month was so amazing. So many good memories, so much love and affection. For now I dont know the purpose of mine coming back to India but I know, I will realise very soon. The trasition from Netherlands to India was so perfect that I am sure that there is definetely somethings for me waiting here. Every events were happening like some well planned. My contract ending on 1st March, than exactly getting 28 days for leaving the country, coming of Guruji on 22nd March, my interview scheduled on 21st March. Promise

If I had to promise you something, what would it be?

I cant promise that you would always be comfortable...because comfort brings boredom and discomfort.

I cant promise that all your desires will be fullfilled...because desires weather fullfilled or unfullfilled brings frustration.

I cant promise that there will always be good times...because it is the tough times that make us appreciate joy.

I cant promise that we will be rich or famous or powerful....becaue they can be all pathways to misrey.

I cant promise that we will always be together...becaue it is seperation that makes togetherness so wonderfull.

Yet if you are willing to walk with me.
If you are willing to value love over everything else.

I promise this will be the most rich and fullfilling life possible.
I promise your life will be an eternal celebration, i promise you I will cherish you more than a king cherishes his crown. And I shall love you more than a mother loves her newborn.

If you are willing to walk into my arms, If you are willing to live in my heart, you will find the one you have waited forever...you will meet yourself in my arms...

I promise...H.H. Sri Sri Ravishankar

The Incredible India

I remember those TV ads, which Indian govt. has launched for showing the diversity and rich culture of India. I never thought so deeply about the culture of India and why it is so special? After coming back to India in almost one year, I feel the difference between our culture and the culture of west. I am not saying that materialistically we are not developed or we are very poor as compared to the rich countries. Coming back to India was big culture shock for me than going to west and experience their culture. When I landed here before 15 days, I saw only chaos. I started observing people at the airport. Everything was looking very much negative. I was thinking, how a foreigner will think about my country, how is the officer at the airport behaving, why there is no security, why autowala is forcing me to take their auto, and the list continues. My heart was literally crying from inside by looking the condition of my country.
But if I keep this materialistic development aside, because I think it is mainly caused by the govt irresponsibility and corruption. They did not take sensible decisions all over the time.
I need to see more deeply, to understand rich Indian culture and people's mentality. There is no doubt the Indian people have inferiority complex, It is because of slavery by Britishers for a long time. It is actually improving by time, because there is no instant solution of this problem. In addition, I see deep connection and strong faith in people. This faith may be due to fear or devotion but it is there. In India, despite having lots of problems people are very content. They always have feeling of giving something and doing service without any intention. It is very much appreciable. We have a strong tradition of Yoga and meditation. This knowledge is very deep and people in west are hungry of this knowledge. I, myself have meet many people who appreciate me only because I am an Indian. I am from a place where vibrational energy is very strong because for ages rishis and munis have meditated here. Now after 15 days of living in India, my mind set is again changed. So what if there is no development, so what if people dont smile, so what if there are more poor, so what if govt is not good, it is my country. I am blessed to be born in such a beautiful land. I take responsibility to do at my level best to make it better place for living.

The Silent Communication

How absurd is this title, The Silent Communication....can communication be possible in silence? And if it is, then how much effective will it be? Last week, I got a chance to go in the 3 days silence program of art of living. Those three days we were totally silent, even no talking with our self, no facebook, no mp3, no mobiles nothing, means no distraction from outside world. For someone (specially girls) it is impossible to be silent for few minutes, forget about three days. But the experience we all had was amazing.
There were in total 21 participants in the course and I could personally feel a strong connection with each one of them.
I like these lines from the course "the purpose of words is to create silence" but we never speak like that. We speak what ever comes to our mind and later on we feel sorry for that. Speaking too much also reduces the power of our speech. But when we speak after keeping silence for some time our power of speech is tremendous. By being silent, we start feeling the joy from inside. We don't need external factor to be happy.
That is how I am feeling now a days.
The course venue was in the middle of black forest in Germany, called Bad Antogast. It is international center of art of living in Germany. It was my second visit to that place. The place is so vibrant and full of energy. The day course started, snow also started there. The first snow of the season was very beautiful.
The teacher, who took the course, his name was Christopher Kiran Byrt. He was a German and have been in art of living from around 25 years. His silence was very strong. He doesn't need any word for communication that you can easily feel in his presence.
So for the first time I realized that it is possible to communicate even in silence and this communication is even more deeper and strong.

Let the element of childishness be alive

Today is 14th November, the day of remembering our childhood. when I remember those days, the only things which comes on my face is 'SMILE'. I have many good memories of mischievousness which I used to do and I am sure many of you also have some or many memories on which you can feel proud of your childhood and pray from god to make you child again.
When we were small, there were no responsibilities, no botheration. We were not much aware of this materialistic world but just happy with our little-little things. One small cartoon of Tom and Jerry used to give us such a happiness that today's 3 hrs movie show can't give. The enthusiasm of playing Mario and Contra was so different than today's PS3 games.
The best memories of childhood comes from school because there we used to be with our friends with whom we can fight, play, chatter, share every good and bad things which we cant share with any one else in family. Blessed are those who are still in contact with their chuddy-buddy and I am one of them. Today, on this children's day occasion, I miss those friends with whom I have no contacts now.
As we go far from our childhood, responsibilities starts showing up. Suddenly we start converting these responsibilities in to burden and this pressure doesn't let us to enjoy. We start living in the past memories of childhood because they were very beautiful.
If we want to be young by heart then we have to keep alive the element of childishness in our self. We should do some crazy things time to time which can reminds us of our childhood. We can also visit the school where we used to study. We can visit our old friends and give them surprise to make our self happy.

Let the element of childishness not die in our self.........Happy children's day to all of us

My never ending desires....

"Lord Buddha" said in his 8 fold path,
My Infinite Desires
there are SUFFERINGS in human life and DESIRES are main cause of SUFFERINGS. Its so nicely said. Happiness in life seems to be like a myth. It seems like every one in this world is happy only except you. But in actuality its not true. This happiness and unhappiness is very much complimentary. One gives value to other. Some or the other time in life, we have observed both and hence we are able to recognize one of them. For example, ask any small child, Are you unhappy? The answer would be big NO, because they don't have any big desires. Never the less, to have desires is human nature. The problems starts when we see our society and we also start having desires, desires of money, desires of reputation, desires of happiness, desires of good time etc etc. And with the desires we invite misery. Because desires and misery are actually two sides of a coin, you can not pick one.
The knowledgeable one knows that it is also not good to have no desires at all. Actually desires should be there but we should be aware that we should be content, doesn't matter the desire will be fulfilled or not. If being happy, you will work towards your desire than there is better chance that it will be fulfilled.

I achieved very few things in life and still have many desires. Through this blog I want to make myself realized that by just having a faith my desires are going to fulfilled and doesn't matter weather it will be fulfilled or not, I will be happy :) :) :)
|At this amount of time, If I will write my desires than may be one page will not be enough. (And I am sure others have even more desires than  me) never the less I will write some of my desires so that I may get some strength from somewhere to fulfill it.

1) I want to write a non technical book....(Thought about it many times but never started)
2) People wants help. (If I could be able to do something for them...may be open a NGO for poor people)
3) I want to complete my PhD in due time.
4) I want to be more natural
5)  I want to travel whole world
etc etc etc

I wish the list to increase day by day....:)

Bad Antogast....place like heaven

Just three days back I was complaining. complains about work in office, complaints about food, complaints about deterious health. But this three days....oh my god. Despite working for day and night....feeling so fresh. I was in art of living german aashram in Bad Antogast. On friday, I reached there. Got chance to do seva for saturday and sunday. Most of the time I passed in kitchen chopping vegetables, washing utensils and many more kitchen stuffs and meeting new friends was also delightful. Attending satsang in evening and dancing like nobody is looking at you gives you inner strength. It make you strong from deep inside.
The physical beauty of the aashram was also very charming, surrounded by black forest jungle and hills makes her so beautiful that it was hard to leave aashram after 3 days of staying. The last day, when everyone was soaked in satsang I went up on the hills all alone. I was alone in the green fields surrounded by pine trees. It was heavenly feelings which cant be expressed by only words. I sat there quite for some time till the complete dawn. When I was alone in the mountains, the silence of the mountain was trying to communicate with me through winds. After some time I went back.
Any tour is incomplete if there is no chaos. while going to the aashram, the person with whom I was supposed to go in car was late by 2 hours. and It created lots of panic. As the place where the aashram is in jungle area. and in that area I reached at 11 in night. how terrific.....but thanks to aashram people who came to receive me at Oppenau. while coming back also, got chance to travel in ICE high speed train from karlsruhe to cologne in just 12 euros. It was also a chaos for some time when we 5-6 people didnt find the mitfahren person in ICE train. and we all were without tckt in high speed train 1st class. But TC came after 10 minutes. somehow that matter solved and we were allowed to travel in train.
Finally I am back in Eindhoven, fresh again. ready to work from tomorrow.

I Love My Diary

I love my diary...It's only place where I am with myself.
No one else disturbs me, bothers me, annoys me and hence I can celebrate this blissfull life with myself.
When I am with my diary I am the one who has full authority to ask the question, I am the one who has full control over myself and hence I love my diary.
And I know It's not like a one sided love and I have a proof for it. I get signals from my diary too and I can interpret those signals. My diary calls me when ever it needs me. It doesn't disturb me when ever I am busy, It also enhances my capabilities and try to improve myself that's what a true lover does and hence my diary also loves me.
I miss the time when we were together, and I hope my diary misses me too.
She knows all my secrets, the secrets from the scratch which I can not say to any one but my diary knows it. and I hope she will keep my secrets deep buried inside it. She gives me suggestion like a guardian does, cares like my parents does and is always with me like my friends and hence I love my diary.

Central Introduction Program @TU/e

Hey everyone...
Its my first post from The Netherlands.
I arrived here before 15 days. So I started experiencing dutch culture :)
Had Central Introduction program in TU/e today.
It was amazing to know about people of different origin and compare there culture with ours. Made lots of friends today.
The things I have to adjust here are weather and food. But these things are also quite good manageable till now :)
